Job summary

Carle Health seeks an RN for NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit. Join a high-acuity team providing post-operative and complex wound care in a 43-bed unit with 1:4–6 nurse to patient ratios.

Responsibilities include initial assessments, care planning, wound vac and ostomy care, and collaboration with surgical residents and OMFS. External applicants eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation incentives.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience providing post-operative and wound/ostomy care preferred
• Ability to collaborate with surgical residents and OMFS teams

Responsibilities

• Performs unit-specific nursing duties and maintains accurate documentation.
• Completes initial patient assessment and develops care plan.
• Implements and adjusts plan of care to patient needs and safety.
• Collaborates with surgical residents and OMFS for optimal outcomes.
• Provides post-operative care and complex wound management including wounds vacs and ostomies.
• Educates patient and family on ostomy care and wound management.
