Job summary

Tucson Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Registered Dietitian to plan, coordinate and oversee inpatient nutritional services. You will establish care policies, provide education to Food Services and Nursing, and help develop sanitation and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dietitian with the State Board of Examiners of Dietitians.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; online certification not acceptable.

Position Summary:

Plans, directs, and coordinates nutritional services and care for inpatients; establishespolicies and procedures forpatient nutritional care; supports Food Services and Nursing Departments with educationregardingpatient nutritionalcare; assistsinestablishingofpolicies and procedures for food safety/sanitation, preparation, distribution.

Pay:

Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed Dietitian with the State Board of Examiners of Dietitians
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American RedCross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Knowledge,Skillsand Ability Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietetics, including familiarity with methods of teaching, principles of education, andnutritional requirements of individuals of varying ages and degrees of health.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
