Job summary

Orlando Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a licensed and registered dietitian to plan and oversee inpatient nutrition services, ensuring high-quality patient care and education for staff on dietary needs. This role requires strong collaboration with Food Services and Nursing.

The incumbent will help establish policies for food safety, sanitation, and patient-centered nutrition programs, while contributing to overall department education and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dietitian with the State Board of Examiners of Dietitians.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• BLS certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate inpatient nutrition services.

Job description

Position Summary

Plans, directs, and coordinates nutritional services and care for inpatients; establishes policies and procedures for patient nutritional care; supports Food Services and Nursing Departments with education regarding patient nutritional care; assists in establishing of policies and procedures for food safety/sanitation, preparation, distribution.

Pay

Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed Dietitian with the State Board of Examiners of Dietitians
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

• Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietetics, including familiarity with methods of teaching, principles of education, and nutritional requirements of individuals of varying ages and degrees of health.
