Job summary

Luby’s Culinary Services, part of the Pappas family, invites applications for a Part-time Dietitian at DHR Behavioral. The Clinical Dietitian will oversee nutrition care for patients, perform assessments, manage therapeutic diets and supplements, and provide education to patients and families.

Ideal candidates hold an RDN credential, Texas licensure, a bachelor’s degree in dietetics or related field, and 1–2 years of clinical acute care experience is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the CDR.
• Texas state licensure/certification as required.
• Bachelor's degree in dietetics or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• 1–2 years of clinical care in an acute care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nutritional assessments and review physician orders for therapeutic diets.
• Provide nutrition education to patients and families.
• Attend patient rounds and maintain clinical nutrition policies.

Luby’s Culinary Services, part of the Pappas family of restaurants, is seeking team members who are passionate about delivering fresh, nutritious meals. We provide customized dining solutions for health care, senior living, corporate dining, and education settings.

The Clinical Dietitian oversees the nutrition care of the patients, performing nutritional assessments, managing the physician’s orders for therapeutic diets and supplements, provides nutritional education to patients and/or families, attends patient rounds, and maintains clinical nutrition policies.

Requirements:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Certification/licensure as required by state of practice. (Texas)
• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related area, granted by a US regionally accredited college or university, or foreign equivalent.
• 1-2 years of clinical care in an acute care facility preferred.
