Job summary

Luby’s Culinary Services, part of the Pappas family of restaurants, seeks a Clinical Dietitian to oversee nutrition care, perform assessments, and manage therapeutic diets in healthcare settings.

You will educate patients and families, attend rounds, and uphold clinical nutrition policies in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentialed as required by state (Texas)
• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related area
• 1–2 years of clinical care in acute care preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee nutrition care of patients and perform nutritional assessments
• Manage physician orders for therapeutic diets and supplements
• Provide nutrition education to patients and/or families
• Attend patient rounds and maintain clinical nutrition policies

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Certification/licensure as required by state of practice. (Texas)
• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related area, granted by a US regionally accredited college or university, or foreign equivalent.
• 1-2 years of clinical care in an acute care facility preferred.
