Job summary

Nutrition that Works, LLC is seeking a consultant dietitian to join our team in an outpatient facility in Hickory, NC for 2-3 days per week. Provide individualized nutrition counseling and develop care plans based on medical needs and patient preferences.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document progress in the EMR, and maintain HIPAA confidentiality while delivering patient-centered care with flexible scheduling and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• North Carolina Licensure.
• Strong communication skills and a client-centered mindset.
• Positive, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized outpatient nutrition counseling for patients.
• Develop and implement nutrition care plans based on medical needs and preferences.
• Respond to nutrition consults from medical and nursing staff as needed.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• Monitor and document patients’ progress, including nutrition assessments, goals, and follow-up plans using the clinic’s electronic medical record system.
• Maintain confidentiality and patient information in accordance with HIPAA.
