Job summary

Providence is seeking a Registered Dietitian to lead clinical nutrition care at the Tukwila site, with travel to hospitals, clinics and homes as needed. The role focuses on quality, cost effectiveness and meaningful patient outcomes under minimal supervision.

You will assist in managing nutrition resources, support physicians in TPN care, and monitor enteral patients to improve nutrition status and minimize risk of harm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics or related field.
• Washington Dietitian Certification within 180 days of hire.
• Washington Nutritionist Certification within 180 days of hire.
• National CDR Registered Dietitian certification at hire.
• At least 1 year hospital and/or home care experience.

This position is responsible for developing, coordinating and directing all aspects of quality, cost effective, outcome-oriented clinical nutrition care under minimum supervision. Assists in the management of PIPS' nutritional resources. Responsible for decisions and judgments affecting patients total nutrition care. Facilitates improvement in patient's nutrition status to reduce complications and lower the risk of harm to the patient. Assists the pharmacists in managing the TPN patients. Clinical monitoring of enteral patients.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field


• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Washington Dietitian Certification, or


• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Washington Nutritionist Certification


• Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration


• 1 year hospital and/or home care experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in enteral/parenteral nutrition.


• Pediatric, adult and geriatric experience.


• Development of nutrition related forms and policies and procedures.

Pay Range: $35.06 - $54.43
