Job description

Overview

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Compensation: $35.00–$54.00 per hour

Extras: Weekend differential and mileage reimbursement

Location Footprint: Seattle metro. Home-based charting/care coordination with field visits to hospitals, patient homes, and treatment facilities. Occasional in-clinic time in Tukwila.

Why this role stands out

If you’re a registered dietitian looking for variety and autonomy—this hybrid role offers both. You’ll balance home-based charting with meaningful in-person patient encounters across the Seattle area. Expect strong onboarding, a supportive team, and the chance to practice at the top of your license in a setting where no two days look the same.

What you’ll do
  • Deliver outcome-focused clinical nutrition care with a mix of home, hospital, and treatment facility visits.
  • Educate patients on feeding tube use, including flushing to maintain patency, and provide follow-up support (often by phone).
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate closely with outpatient physicians and dietitians to keep care plans moving.
  • Assist pharmacists in managing TPN patients and clinically monitor enteral patients.
  • Develop and direct high-quality, cost-effective nutrition plans that improve patient status and reduce complications.
  • Contribute to nutrition-related forms, policies, and procedures as needed.
Training and work style
  • Hybrid: Home for charting and coordination; field-based visits; occasional on-site days in Tukwila.
  • Onboarding: The first few weeks are on-site in Tukwila for ride-alongs, shadowing, and hands-on training.
  • Rhythm: Dynamic and unpredictable in the best way—ideal for someone who is fluid, flexible, and comfortable working both independently and within a tight-knit team.
  • Weekends: No weekend rotation during your first six months; weekend differential applies when you rotate in.
Must-haves
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics.
  • Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration).
  • Within 180 days of hire: Washington Dietitian Certification or Washington Nutritionist Certification.
  • At least 1 year of hospital or home-care experience.
  • Personal vehicle and valid driver’s license.
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with enteral/parenteral nutrition.
  • Comfort across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Background creating nutrition-related forms, policies, and procedures.
  • CNSC certification.
Who will thrive here
  • RDs who want a hybrid role with autonomy, variety, and strong clinical impact.
  • Newer RDs who meet the requirements and want structured onboarding plus real-world experience, fast.
  • Seasoned clinicians who enjoy patient education, interprofessional coordination, and practicing at the top of their license.

$35.00 - $54.00 per hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
