Job description

RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified Per Diem Registered Dietitian in Somerville, NJ.

Qualifications:

• Some weekends and holiday coverage required
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or equivalent required

Preferred:

• 1 year experience with eating disorders preferred
• Master's Degree in Nutrition or equivalent preferred but not required
• CEDRD certified eating disorder registered dietitian preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred but open to new grads

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Registered Dietitian with CDR - Required

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift
• Per Diem Schedule (some weekends and holidays)

Essential Functions:

• Participate as part of the multidisciplinary care team by providing evidence-based nutrition care and medical nutrition therapy to inpatients and/or outpatients using an all foods fit, weight inclusive Health at Every Size approach.
• Provide individual nutrition therapy/education, group counseling/education, and participate in the development of multidisciplinary treatment plans.
• Collaborate with Nutrition Coordinator to provide nutrition-related and/or meal monitoring training to non-RD staff.
• Assist with additional projects related to program development/improvement, policies, procedures, and quality assurance monitoring.
