Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking an Oncology Dietitian to implement nutrition screening for cancer patients and provide individualized assessments and counseling throughout treatment. You will monitor interventions, attend tumor board rounds, and educate patients and staff on nutrition topics related to cancer care.

Required are a BS in Dietetics or related field, RD credential, Illinois licensure, and CSO preferred.

Qualifications

• Oncology nutrition knowledge and counseling skills.
• Experience in cancer nutrition care is preferred.
• MDT collaboration and patient education.
• Licensure and credentials in dietetics are required or preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION - MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement nutrition screening system for cancer patients undergoing active treatment.
• Provide individualized nutrition assessments, counseling and nutrition recommendations based on patients’ specific therapies and nutrition needs utilizing appropriate interpersonal and communication skills.
• Monitoring and evaluation of interventions with patients, both in clinic and as follow up appointments as needed.
• Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary team patient-care rounds for acute-care cancer patients.
• Provide ongoing nutrition education for patients and in-services for staff addressing nutrition topics and research pertinent to cancer patients.
• Collaborate with other health professionals as appropriate and develop nutrition education and resource materials as needed.
• Attending education programs to maintain status as effective and knowledgeable resource regarding patients’ nutrition needs.
• Consistently meet the goals set forth to maintain Duly Commission on Cancer related to field of expertise Attendance in Cancer Tumor Board Conferences

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as an Oncology Dietitian Preferred .
• BS degree in Dietetics or related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential.
• Illinois State License Specialized certification in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) preferred.

Compensation

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $25.94-$38.91/hour, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
