Job summary

DiningRD is seeking a part-time Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) to join our team for consulting work in skilled nursing facilities and/or behavioral health. This role emphasizes improving senior residents' nutrition and coordinating with the care team.

Must hold an NDTR credential and be able to travel as needed. Strong English communication and teamwork with dietary staff and residents are essential. Flexible schedule with competitive pay and ongoing education opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have NDTR credential awarded from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Reads, writes and understands English.
• Some travel may be required.
• Ability to work productively with residents, dietary staff and care team.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial, annual, and quarterly nutritional assessments with section K, CAA, and Care plan per federal/state guidelines.
• Describe and educate residents, staff and family on therapeutic and mechanically altered diets.
• Evaluate kitchen for safety and sanitation to ensure regulatory compliance and promote quality food service.
• Initiates/completes documentation for residents at nutritional risk (renal/dialysis, significant weight changes, pressure ulcers, tube feeding).
• Assist with maintaining high-risk resident rosters and consultant RD logs.
• Participate in Wound/Weight Intervention and Nutrition Support Committee.
• Complete monthly QA reports.
• Conduct monthly diet order audits and update resident food profile cards, tray cards, nourishment lists, and record food preferences.
• Communicate effectively with Consultant RD.

DiningRD is actively seeking a part-time Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) to join our team of talented professionals for a consulting role in skilled nursing facilities and/or behavioral health. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Enjoy working with geriatric residents and understand their needs. Some travel may be required. Must be able to read, write and understand English. Be in good mental and physical condition. Possess good communication skills. Be able to work productively with other members of the resident care team, dietary staff, and residents.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
