Job summary

DiningRD is actively seeking a part-time Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) to join our team for consulting in skilled nursing facilities and behavioral health. The role supports geriatric residents with nutrition assessments and education.

Must hold an NDTR credential and be able to work 24–32 hours per week. Travel to facilities may be required. Join our network of dietitians and make a positive impact on seniors' lives.

Qualifications

• NDTR credential required and must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to work productively with dietary staff, residents, and care teams.
• Willingness to travel to facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments and care plans in accordance with guidelines.
• Educate residents, staff, and families on therapeutic and modified diets.
• Evaluate facility kitchen safety and sanitation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Document residents at nutritional risk and monitor changes.
• Maintain rosters and logs for high-risk residents and nutrition notes.
• Participate in nutrition-related committees and QA activities.
• Conduct monthly diet order audits and update profile records.
• Record resident food preferences and ensure accurate tray cards.
• Communicate effectively with the Consulting RD.

DiningRD is actively seeking a part-time Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) to join our team of talented professionals for a consulting role in skilled nursing facilities and/or behavioral health. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

Enjoy working with geriatric residents and understand their needs. Some travel may be required. Must be able to read, write and understand English. Be in good mental and physical condition. Possess good communication skills. Be able to work productively with other members of the resident care team, dietary staff, and residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete the initial, annual, and quarterly nutritional assessments with correlating section K, CAA, and Care plan, according to federal and state guidelines, in a timely manner.
• Describe and Educate residents, staff, and family members on therapeutic & mechanically altered diets.
• Evaluate kitchen for safety & sanitation to ensure compliance with regulations. Promote quality food service.
• Initiates and/or completes documentation for residents at nutritional risk (renal/dialysis, significant weight changes, pressure ulcers, tube feeding, etc.).
• Assists with maintaining high-risk resident rosters and consultant RD logs.
• Participate in Wound / Weight Intervention and Nutrition Support Committee.
• Complete monthly QA reports.
• Conduct monthly diet order audits and assist in keeping resident food profile cards, tray cards, nourishment list updated. Record food preferences.
• Communicate effectively with Consultant RD.
