Qualifications

• A 4-year nutrition degree (DT) or associate-level Dietetic Technician program (DTR).

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional education and instruction on identified diet plans to individual patients, patients in group settings, and families.
• Prioritize tasks and use effective time management to maintain productivity standards.
• Perform timely nutrition assessments and screen patients at nutritional risk as needed.
• Provide follow-up and monitoring, document in medical records, and refer to the dietitian when needed.
• Assist with quality improvement activities and conduct meal rounds as indicated.
• Make clinical judgments and consult with a dietitian or care team as appropriate.
