Job summary

NHS Tayside is seeking a Dietetic Support Worker to join the Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic Service. The role supports patients who rely on tube feeding across community and hospital settings, in homes and care facilities.

You will work with dietitians and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure safe, effective nutritional care while assisting carers and healthcare staff. Excellent communication and IT skills are essential.

Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic Service

Would you like to be part of a supportive and innovative dietetic team, helping some of the most nutritionally vulnerable patients across Tayside?

We are looking for a Dietetic Support Worker to join our specialist Community and Hospital Enteral Nutrition Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside dietitians and multidisciplinary colleagues to support patients who rely on tube feeding in a variety of settings, including their own homes, care homes and hospitals.

This varied role combines direct patient support, education and training, service improvement, and administration. You will play a key role in helping ensure patients receive safe, effective nutritional care, while also supporting carers, healthcare staff and partner organisations. No two days are the same, offering the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills and gain valuable experience within a specialist clinical service.

We are seeking someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a genuine interest in nutrition. Experience in a health, social care or related setting is essential. Good IT skills would be advantageous.
