Job summary

Staten Island Care Center is seeking a dedicated Dietary Supervisor to oversee the dietary department and ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming environment. The role requires leadership of dietary staff and adherence to facility policies.

The position focuses on menu planning, staff scheduling, and ensuring compliance with health regulations, with a strong emphasis on quality food service for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role in dietary or food service.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience as Dietary Supervisor in a nursing home setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of dietary management, food safety, labor control, and staff scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dietary department in accordance with DOH regulations and safety standards.
• Manage menu planning and staff scheduling for daily operations.
• Provide leadership to dietary staff and ensure timely, high-quality service.
• Supervise Dietary Aides during meals and cleanup.
• Complete required forms and reporting per facility policies.

Staten Island Care Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Supervisor to oversee our dietary department and ensure our residents receive high-quality, nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment.

Facility: Staten Island Care Center

Position: Dietary Supervisor

Location: Staten Island, NY

Shift: Full-Time | 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM

Salary: $26/hour

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and maintain the highest standards of food safety and resident satisfaction.
• Oversee menu preparation and staff scheduling to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Provide leadership and guidance to dietary staff, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and timely, quality food service.
• Supervise Dietary Aides during meal service and cleanup, ensuring standards are consistently met and exceeded.
• Complete all required forms, reports, and documentation in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dietary or food service supervisory role.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Previous experience as a Dietary Supervisor in a nursing home setting preferred.
• Knowledge of dietary management, food safety, labor control, and staff scheduling.
• Familiarity with therapeutic diets, food restrictions, and kitchen operations.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
