Job summary

Aurora Health Care Milwaukee seeks a Hospital Food Service Stockroom Assistant to manage daily inventory, receive deliveries, label items, and ensure accurate storage in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include processing requisitions, rotating stock, maintaining cold storage, and assisting with sanitation and safety compliance. Must have ServSafe certification within 1 year, high school diploma, and at least 1 year of experience in food service.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, and Word).
• Ability to read and understand written and oral communications.
• Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal), build rapport, and relate to all kinds of people.

Responsibilities

• Prepares inventory, requisitions daily supplies and assures proper labeling and storage.
• Receives deliveries, ensuring item and amount delivered match orders; labels and dates deliveries and stores properly.
• Maintains storeroom refrigerators and freezers, inventories non-perishable/perishable food items, and secures storage areas.
• Monitors quality of fresh produce and reports spoilage or inferior products.
• Provides delivery outside the hospital upon supervisor request.
• Assists with sanitation and safety compliance and improves sanitation areas.
• Performs sanitation duties on utensils, refrigerators, carts and food service equipment.
