Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma is the minimum requirement.
• Completion of an approved Food Management Course.
• CDM or CFSM certification is required.
• Experience in dietary management in healthcare or senior living.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary restrictions.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Proficient with menu planning software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement nutritious and appetizing menus meeting residents' dietary needs.
• Procure food and supplies within budget guidelines.
• Recruit, train, and supervise dietary staff.
• Assess residents' dietary requirements with healthcare professionals.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for health, sanitation and safety.
• Monitor quality and presentation of meals and address concerns.
• Manage the dietary services budget efficiently.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and families.
• Coordinate with dietitians to develop policy and cycle menus.
