Job summary

Tower Road Post Acute in Marietta, GA is seeking a Dietary Manager to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the dietary department to meet residents' nutritional needs. Qualifications

Regular and reliable attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
Must hold ServSafe or equivalent certification or obtain within required period.
Two or more years of supervisory/management experience in food service; LTC experience preferred.
Knowledge of federal/state regulations governing food and nutrition services in skilled nursing facilities.
Knowledge of regular and therapeutic diets and geriatric nutritional needs.
Ability to plan, budget, purchase, and manage inventory for food service.
Ability to supervise and motivate hourly staff.
English reading/writing and effective communication with residents, families, staff, and regulators.
Basic computer skills including diet management software, EHR, and email.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate day-to-day operation of the dietary department in accordance with policy and regulations.
Develop and review written policies, procedures, and job descriptions for the department.
Plan and post regular, therapeutic, and texture-modified menus and obtain approval from the consulting Registered Dietitian.
Ensure food is prepared from standardized recipes, served correctly, and is palatable.
Maintain diet cards reflecting physician orders, resident preferences, allergies, and care plans.
Provide substitutes with comparable nutritive value and document accordingly.
Supervise staffing levels to meet residents' nutritional needs and schedule shifts.
Train staff, enforce safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards; participate in care plan conferences.
Collaborate with RDN and interdisciplinary team on residents at nutritional risk.
Monitor food cost, labor hours, and waste; take corrective actions as needed.
