Job summary

Responsibilities include maintaining menus and stock, coordinating diet changes, and supporting quality service in a clean, safe facility. On-call coverage and collaboration with nursing staff are expected.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma.
• Willing to work in all areas of food service.
• Alternate on call status with CDM to ensure coverage.
• Experience in dietary capacity in hospital or nursing facility.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and laws governing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect storage rooms and closets for upkeep.
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Department.
• Review complaints and report actions to Dietary Manager and Administrator.
• Participate in facility surveys by government agencies.
• Interview residents or families to obtain diet history.
• Review diet plans and menus to follow physician orders.
• Ensure menus are maintained and filed per policy.
• Maintain stock levels of food and supplies.
• Keep dietary service areas clean and sanitary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
