• Knowledgeable of Federal and State rules regarding nursing home dietary requirements.
• Prior food service experience in long-term care setting preferred.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with each topic alongside the dietary manager.
• Inspect the Dietary Department daily to ensure it is safe and sanitary.
• Inspect storage areas weekly for proper temperatures, cleanliness, and order; assist cleaning as needed.
• Submit written reports to the administration as necessary.
• Direct and assist with supervising all dietary functions and personnel.
• Hire, orient, train, counsel, discipline, and terminate dietary employees when appropriate.
