Forest Glen in Springfield, Ohio is seeking an experienced Dietary Manager to lead our Dietary Department and ensure high-quality meals while complying with state and federal regulations. The role emphasizes resident nutrition and a compassionate dining experience.

You will oversee daily operations, meal planning, budgeting, staff recruitment/training, and collaboration with the Registered Dietitian to meet residents’ dietary needs in a respectful, resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dietary management, healthcare, or long-term care preferred.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred or willingness to obtain if required.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and long-term care regulations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Passion for serving seniors with dignity, compassion, and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations of the Dietary Department.
• Plan, organize, and supervise meal preparation and food service.
• Ensure compliance with all sanitation, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the Registered Dietitian to meet residents' nutritional needs and physician diet orders.
• Manage food purchasing, inventory, and department budget.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and develop dietary staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen and dining environment.
• Promote outstanding customer service for residents, families, and staff.
