Job summary

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking a Dietary Manager to oversee the Dietary Services Department in Scottsdale.

You will manage menus, monitor inventories, supervise dietary staff, ensure safe food storage, and coordinate with clinical teams to meet modified diet needs for patients across the continuum of care.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quantity cooking experience in a hospital or healthcare setting

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Our 120-bed facility will offer specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co-occurring addictions.

Description:

The Dietary Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities of the Dietary Services Department. This includes providing nutritional and attractive meals for patients and facility employees, maintaining an organized and sanitary environment, monitoring supply inventories and purchasing of food and supplies as required, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies and managing an effective Dietary staff. The Dietary Manager is responsible for the serving of meals for patients and facility staff in accordance with approved menu cycles and production sheets.

Qualifications

Education: High School education or equivalent

Experience: 5+ years' experience in quantity cooking, basic knowledge of modified diets, training in food service sanitation, and experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils required. Must have experience within a hospital or healthcare setting. 2+ years' leadership experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Certified Food Management / TDH. Valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance or ability to obtain.
