Job summary

Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital in Michigan seeks a Dietary Aide for full-time hospital food service. Responsibilities include preparing salads, stocking beverages, and keeping dining areas clean while assisting in patient meals and room supplies.

A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility will provide a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide is responsible for the following: assisting with preparing the salads, maintaining an adequate supply of beverages, ensuring the cafeteria and dining room remain clean at all times, assisting in the preparation and delivery of patient meals and room supplies, washing of dishes, loading dishes in the dish washer, and operating the dish machine, assisting the cook as required, and stocking kitchen necessities on each floor as required.
