Job summary

High Point Inpatient Campus – Hyannis, MA is hiring a Dietary Manager to lead food service operations and ensure high standards of patient nutrition and safety.

You will manage staff, coordinate meals, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements while partnering with clinical teams to support overall patient care. This full-time role offers daytime shifts and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • Completion of HPAO de-escalation training.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Infection control knowledge and PPE practices.
  • Organize staffing patterns and scheduling for direct reports.
  • Process payroll and HR tasks in HRIS system.
  • Oversee department budget and financials.
  • Attend weekly/monthly manager meetings and training.
  • Hire, onboard, and train new staff; conduct performance reviews.
  • Support ongoing staff development and quality of care.

Location: High Point Inpatient Campus - Hyannis, MA
Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred
Pay Range: $62,400-$87,360 salaried annually depending on experience and education
Status: Full Time; Monday-Friday
Shift: Day Shift (can be flexible; generally, 8am-4:30pm or 9a-5:30pm)

High Point has programs located throughout Southeastuos Massachusetts, offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Dietary Manager Requirements

  • Must always present as courteous and professional;
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks;
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion;
  • Proficient and knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train on HPAO electronic information systems;
  • Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner;
  • An understanding of the relationship between substance uses and mental health issues and/or self-help programs;
  • High level of professional boundaries and ethics;
  • Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Substance Abuse Confidentiality Regulations and HIPAA Regulations;
  • Completion of the HPAO approved de-escalation training;
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.

Dietary Manager Duties & Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Infection Control standards such as hand washing, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits, Blood spill kits, etc.;
  • Organize adequate staffing pattern and on-going scheduling of direct reports;
  • Process payroll for staff, leave time request and tickets within the HRIS system;
  • Oversight and Maintenance of the departments fiscal budget;
  • Attend mandatory weekly and monthly manager meetings;
  • Arrange and conduct interviews with potential hires;
  • Hiring, Onboarding and Training of new staff;
  • Conduct initial and annual performance assessments of all staff;
  • Take part in outside educational programs in an effort to enhance both professional and personal growth;
  • Attend and participate in mandatory in-service programs/trainings;
  • Be responsible for decisions and actions relative to quality of care for all patients;
  • Conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings, maintains a meeting log and provides minutes;
  • Utilizes standard precautions at all times;
  • Prepare for and review all site visits and inspections conducted by Joint Commission, DPH, DMH, etc. and any other authorities having jurisdiction and take immediate action to correct any deficiencies;
  • Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient rights;
  • Maintains and submits any current Safe Serve Certificate necessary for the performance of the position;
  • General knowledge of proper cleaning procedures-disinfecting, scrubbing, etc.;
  • Place order and purchase appropriate amount of food and supplied;
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations and Serv Safe standards and procedures;
  • Provide individual patients with a standard and/or alternative menu to address nutritional, cultural, diabetic, and allergy needs;
  • Attend mandatory quarterly Nutritional Committee and Infection Control Committee, as applicable;
  • Adheres to recommendations provided by the Nutritional Consultant;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Site Director, Program Director, Director of Support Services/Facilities, Chief Operating Officer.

Dietary Manager Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
  • At least 2 years of management experience;
  • Current and Valid ServSafe Certification
