Job summary

High Point & Affiliated Organizations in New Bedford is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal preparation, service and compliance with 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA and infection control standards. This per diem role offers shifts 6am-2pm, 11am-7pm, or 2pm-7pm on Sundays through Saturdays.

The position provides benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, disability and retirement plans, FSA/DCA, PFML, EAP, bonus/referral programs, free CEU trainings, and meals when available.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or relevant work
  • Ability to work with chemically dependent, dual diagnosed and clients with other behavioral health issues
  • Lift minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patients and HIPAA Regulations
  • Knowledge of Infection Control standards; PPE, blood spill kits, etc.
  • Food safety certification required within the first year
  • Preparation and serving of assigned meals following approved menu
  • Opening/closing duties as assigned
  • Other duties to ensure safe operation of the facility

Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
Pay Range: $20 - $23.50 per hour (Experience and Education dependent)
Status: Per Diem, Sunday - Saturday, 6am - 2pm or 11am - 7pm or 2pm-7pm

High Point has programs located throughout Southeast Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Dietary Aide Duties & Responsibilities
  • Compliance with Federal Regulations, 42CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patients and HIPAA Regulations
  • Knowledge of Infection Control standards - hand washing, personal protective equipment (PPE) kits, blood spill kits, etc.
  • Food safety certification required within the first year
  • Preparation and serving of assigned meals following approved menu by the Nutrition Committee
  • Opening/closing duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned by the Site Director / Program Director / Director of Dietary to ensure safe and appropriate operation of the facility
