A leading healthcare center is seeking a Dietary Manager to oversee the preparation and service of food for residents, ensuring compliance with regulations and managing dietary staff. The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications and experience in dietary management, ensuring quality food service and staff training.
Dietary Manager (Project Management)
Responsible for directing and participating in the preparation and service of food that is safe, appetizing, and meets residents' needs according to physicians' orders and approved menus. Maintains budget guidelines and plans for special meals and functions. Supervises all dietary staff, including hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating when necessary. Ensures proper storage and handling of food and supplies in compliance with regulations. Processes diet orders and updates diet cards accordingly.
Assesses residents' food preferences and allergies, prepares staff schedules, and manages dietary department safety and sanitation. Coordinates with nursing and activities staff, maintains documentation, and participates in QA and IDT meetings. Checks trays for accuracy and inspects the dietary department regularly. Provides in-service education and addresses on-the-job injuries.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, maintains security, and conducts nutritional assessments for residents at nutritional risk. Supervises dietary staff management and ensures quality food service.
