Job summary

Westminster at Lake Ridge is seeking a Dietary Lead to oversee dietary operations for Health Center and Assisted Living. Shifts run from 6am to 3:30pm or 11am to 8pm, with weekends as needed. Wage ranges from $18.36 to $22.95 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The role leads the dietary staff on shift, ensures tray accuracy to meal tickets, and maintains compliance with state and federal regulations while supporting residents with meal choices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 6 months to 1 year dietary experience in service and nutrition or equivalent.
• Ability to apply instructions and communicate effectively; strong customer service skills and knowledge of state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver meals daily to Health Center and Assisted Living Unit.
• Lead dietary staff on the shift; check trays against tickets for accuracy.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations; assist residents with food selections.

Westminster at Lake Ridge is a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community serving older adults in three levels of service: Independent Living, Assisted Living, and a Health Center. Our team of roughly 270 total employees serves a population of over 400 total residents on 62 acres that back up to the Occoquan reservoir. High school diploma or general education degree (GED), six (6) months to a one (1) year dietary experience in service and nutrition; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong customer service skills, and knowledge on state and federal regulations.

This position is primarily responsible or preparing and delivering meals to the Health Center and Assisted Living Unit on a daily basis. This position is the lead dietary staff member on the shift, reporting to the Dietary Supervisor. This position is the ‘checker’ on the tray line and ensures accuracy of trays to meal tickets. Additional responsibilities include adhering to all state and federal regulations, assisting residents with selection of food, etc.
