Job summary

Emerald Nursing and Rehabilitation in Elizabethtown, PA is seeking a Dietary Director to lead daily food service operations, design menus, manage budgets, and ensure meal quality and safety. The role will recruit and train staff, oversee inventory, and provide exceptional nutrition services to residents, with a focus on dignity and respect in a friendly, family-like environment.

Bachelor’s degree in dietary management is preferred, with prior management experience in food service; benefits

• Bachelor’s degree in dietary management or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in food services (management experience preferred).
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to meet the dietary needs of our diverse population of patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily food service operations in the facility.
• Recruit, hire, and train new staff members.
• Instruct staff on how to create the meals that you design.
• Maintain the inventory of our kitchens.
• Establish a budget and work within its confines.
• Ensure that meals are prepared and delivered in sanitary ways.
• Create and manage the kitchen staff schedule.
