Job summary

Emerald Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide at our Elizabethtown facility. You will help review patients' dietary needs, assist with meal prep, and ensure meals comply with dietary restrictions. Flexible schedule and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review dietary requirements and preferences with Dietician to plan meals.
• Prepare dietary menus based on medical conditions and preferences.
• Assist with meal preparation and serving.
• Inspect diet trays for compliance with restrictions.
• Assist with stocking kitchen supplies and inventory management.
• Support cleaning duties in kitchen and dining areas.

Responsibilities of a Dietary Aide:

• Reviewing patients' dietary requirements and preferences and discussing them with Dieticians to develop healthy menus and nutritional care plans.
• Preparing individual dietary menus based on patients' medical conditions, physical health, preferences, and distastes.
• Assisting with meal preparation and serving.
• Inspecting special diet trays to ensure they comply with the dietary restrictions.
• Assisting the Cook with determining kitchen supplies and stock for the day, as well as checking and maintaining stock levels.
• Assisting with cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas.

Qualifications of a Dietary Aide:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• The ability to comply with sanitation regulations.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Strong computer and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.
