Job summary

Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in Lancaster County, PA. We seek a dedicated Dietary Aide to assist in meal preparation and service, while ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines and resident comfort.

You will work part-time from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some weekend requirements. The role includes staff meals, health benefits, and opportunities for growth in a family-like environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with seniors, preferably in long-term care.
• Good reading and communication abilities.
• Previous dietary/food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and serving of meals per guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate dietary needs and preferences.
• Provide excellent resident-focused service during meals.
• Follow safety and hygiene protocols in food handling.

Responsibilities of a Dietary Aide:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines.
• Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents during meal times.
• Follow all safety and hygiene protocols in food handling.

Qualifications of a Dietary Aide:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience working with seniors, preferably in Long Term Care.
• Good communication skills and ability to read.
• Previous experience in a dietary or food service role preferred.
