Generations Healthcare’s Tustin Healthcare Center in California is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our team. The role involves assisting in all food functions, preparing meals per planned menus, and ensuring dietary requirements are met for residents.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of therapeutics diet and textures (pureed, mechanical-soft, IDDSI).
• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain sanitation and safety in the kitchen.
• Patience, tact, and good communication with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special diet trays to ensure correct diet is served.
• Prepare meals per planned menus and standardized recipes.
• Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appropriately portioned.
• Coordinate food service with other departments and the dietitian as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas and equipment.
• Complete necessary forms and reports as required by the Director of Food Services.
