Height Street Skilled Care is hiring a Dietary Cook for a full-time role at our skilled nursing facility in Bakersfield. The position operates on a rotating shift (4 days on, 2 days off).

Review menus, prepare meals, and ensure the correct diets are served to residents per federal, state, and local standards. As a dietary team member, you will coordinate with the Dietary Director and other departments, maintain policy compliance, and support standardized work methods.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, speak and understand English
• Ability to follow and complete directions and tasks in a timely manner
• Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
• Must have a Food Handlers Card

Responsabilités

• Review menu prior to food preparation.
• Inspect special diet trays to assure that the correct diet is served to the resident.
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. for submission to the Dietary Director.
• Coordinates Dietary service with other departments as necessary.
• Works with the facility's Dietary Director as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
• Ensures that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Assists in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.
• Processes diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Departments.
• Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as with other departments within the facility to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
