Job summary

Promise Care Center in Missouri is seeking a full-time Dietary Cook to prepare meals and snacks according to menus and standardized recipes. The role requires serving residents politely, maintaining sanitation, and cleaning kitchen and dining areas while following safety procedures.

You will participate in staff development and work with a team to promote a supportive environment for residents. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience as a dietary cook or in food service preferred.

Your job will be to ensure that kitchen duties are completed on the weekend shift in accordance with our company’s policies and regulatory guidelines. You must be self-motivated and energetic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Prepare meals and snacks according to the menu using standardized recipes.
• Serve residents in a timely and polite manner following safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Store food properly, clean equipment, kitchen and dining area using safety and infection control procedures.
• Proper use of equipment, supplies, and dietary goods.
• Maintaining a safe work environment by following safety practices within the center and immediately reporting any safety concerns or issues to the Facility Administrator.

Participate in staff development, attend in-service training and maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation and teamwork with co-workers, supervisors, residents and visitors according to the organization’s policies and procedures and code of ethics.
