Job summary

Promise Care Center in Missouri is seeking a Dietary Cook for a full-time weekend shift. You will prepare meals and snacks according to the menu using standardized recipes and serve residents in a timely, courteous manner.

Maintain a clean kitchen, store food properly, and operate equipment according to safety and sanitation guidelines, reporting safety concerns to the Facility Administrator. The role supports a family-owned environment with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life

Qualifications

• Experience as a dietary cook or in a care facility preferred.
• Knowledge of standardized recipes and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work on the weekend shift and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

Your job will be to ensure that kitchen duties are completed on the weekend shift in accordance with our company’s policies and regulatory guidelines. You must be self-motivated and energetic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Prepare meals and snacks according to the menu using standardized recipes.
• Serve residents in a timely and polite manner following safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Store food properly, clean equipment, kitchen and dining area using safety and infection control procedures.
• Proper use of equipment, supplies, and dietary goods.
• Maintaining a safe work environment by following safety practices within the center and immediately reporting any safety concerns or issues to the Facility Administrator.

Participate in staff development, attend in-service training and maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation and teamwork with co-workers, supervisors, residents and visitors according to the organization’s policies and procedures and code of ethics.
