Position: Dietary Cook
Employment Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and standardized recipes.
Follow residents' prescribed diets, food preferences, and special dietary requirements.
Prepare meals in appropriate quantities and ensure food is served at the proper temperature.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and freshness.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
Properly store, label, and rotate food and supplies.
Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to the Dietary Supervisor.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.
Assist with meal service and other dietary duties as needed.
Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other departments to provide excellent resident service.
Previous cooking experience required; healthcare or skilled nursing experience preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.
Ability to follow menus, recipes, and special dietary instructions.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Dependable, punctual, and professional.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
Food Handler's certification as required by applicable regulations.
