Forest Glen Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Springfield, OH, is seeking a Dietary Cook or Aide to support our kitchen team and ensure residents receive nourishing meals in a clean and welcoming environment. Cook
Prepare and cook well-balanced, tasty meals in accordance with facility menus and resident needs
Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Ensure timely meal preparation and service
Collaborate with the dietary team to address special diets and preferences
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and in compliance with regulatory standards
Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Aide
Assist in meal preparation and plating under the supervision of the Cook and Dietary Manager
Deliver food trays and beverages to residents in dining areas or rooms
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining rooms, and equipment
Wash dishes, utensils, and food prep surfaces following sanitation guidelines
Follow dietary plans for residents with modified or restricted diets
Stock food and supplies, rotate inventory, and report shortages
Provide friendly and respectful service to all residents and team members
Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or healthcare preferred
Understanding of basic nutrition and food safety is a plus
Ability to work well in a team and take direction
Compassionate attitude and a genuine interest in resident well-being
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including some weekends and holidays
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
