Job summary

Lynn Care is seeking a Dietary Cook to join the Dietary Department and support residents with nourishing, visually appealing meals. You will supervise dietary functions, assist in meal preparation, and help ensure accurate tray service and cleanliness.

The role emphasizes following special diets, coordinating with the team, and maintaining records to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality meals for residents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred, or ability to read and write English effectively.
• Previous culinary experience is a plus.
• Proficient in preparing and cooking foods in larger quantities with knowledge of special diets, timing, and portion control.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dietary functions and personnel in the kitchen.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of meals that are flavorful and visually appealing.
• Contribute to tray service and kitchen cleanliness.
• Maintain accurate records to support operations.
• Supervise in the absence of the manager and coordinate food and supply needs.
• Follow dietary orders and approved substitutions and meal plans.
