Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Newark, Delaware, is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes while accommodating residents' dietary needs. You will supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director, maintain sanitation, monitor temperatures, and participate in required trainings.

A Serv-Safe certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days) is required, and the role requires physical stamina, lifting up to 50 lbs, and a flexible

Qualifications

• Experience in dining services.
• Must be Serv-Safe certified, or willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Team-oriented and able to work with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present meals per approved menus and recipes, accommodating dietary needs.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area and follow sanitation rules.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director.
• Conduct temperature checks and monitor fridge/freezer temps.
• Attend required in-service trainings and staff meetings.
