Job summary

Envive Healthcare of Indianapolis is seeking a Dietary Cook evenings to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a clean, safe kitchen.

You will follow posted menus, accommodate dietary needs, maintain sanitation, and join ongoing education programs.

This role supports our mission to provide exceptional care and comfortable dining experiences for our patients.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Knowledgeable of dietary techniques and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and/or 50 pounds occasionally.

As a Dietary Cook evenings, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients by preparing nutritious meals and snacks in a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals, desserts, and snacks in accordance with the posted menu schedule, while ensuring that all special diets and dietary concerns are followed.

• Serve meals that are palatable and presentable.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area, including washing pots and pans, and ensuring proper storage and holding temperatures for food and beverages.

• Estimate and prepare food supplies to meet serving portions.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectable work environment.

• Attend and participate in continuing educational programs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must be interested in geriatrics and be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Knowledgeable of dietary techniques and procedures.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and/or 50 pounds occasionally.
