Job summary

Envive Healthcare of Indianapolis is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide for the evenings to join our dietary team. You will help prepare meals, serve residents, and maintain a clean, safe dining environment while supporting nutrition education for residents and families.

The role focuses on accurate meal preparation, portion control, and courteous resident interaction, with responsibilities including inventory, setup/cleanup, and collaboration with the care team in a welcoming facility.

• Ability to follow instructions for meal orders, nutritional needs, and recipes.

As a key member of our dietary department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by preparing meals, serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals, snacks, and beverages following specific procedures and protocols
• Serve meals, ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times
• Take inventory of kitchen supplies and food items, staying up-to-date on individual facility procedures and protocols
• Assist with setting up and taking down dining areas, and perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Assist with educational programs on nutrition and provide support to residents and family members

Qualifications and Skills:

• Patience and compassion when working with residents and family members
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions for meal orders, nutritional needs, and recipes
