Job summary

Quitman Wellness & Rehabilitation in Mineola, TX is seeking a Food Service Assistant to support meal preparation, service, and cleanup for residents and staff in our nursing center.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Production

• Assist the cook as directed by the Food Service Director
• Prepare and label nourishments according to facility procedures
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads, and other non-entrée items
• Pour and distribute beverages as assigned
• Follow production sheets, pre-preparation sheets, and established guidelines

Service & Support

• Assist with meal service to residents and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and workstations
• Support setup and cleanup for special events as needed
