Job summary

MediLodge of Monroe is seeking a part-time Dietary Cook Aide to assist with the preparation and service of meals for residents, staff, and special events, using proper food handling and safety techniques in a clean, safe environment.

You will follow planned menus and standardized recipes, ensure meals are delivered on time, monitor temperatures, and work as part of a supportive kitchen team committed to high-quality nutrition and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Tenth grade or above desirable.
• Experience in food service desired.
• ServSafe Food Safety Certification preferred, or other food safety certification as required in state or county of facility.
• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or pre-portions food for meals and snacks according to planned menus and safety standards.
• Utilizes standardized recipes to prepare menu items and ensures food is served attractively.
• Ensures meals and snacks are delivered on time to designated areas.
• Maintains proper food temperatures during preparation and service and records temperatures.
• Serves resident meals according to diet orders and preferences.
• Labels, dates, and stores food properly and monitors logs.
• Keeps work area clean and uncluttered and assists with cleaning tasks as needed.
• Assists in receiving, storing, and verifying invoices for food and supplies.
• Acts as a team member and supports residents, families, and visitors.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
