Job summary

Atrium Centers in Kingsford, MI is seeking a dedicated Dietary Cook Aide for full-time 2nd shift. You’ll join a 100% employee-owned team focused on resident nutrition, quality of life, and compassionate care.

You will prepare meals per resident diet specifications under the Dietary Supervisor, ensure meals are nutritious and served on schedule, and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen while following all procedures. This role values teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cooking experience for a sizable group.
• Ability to quantify and prepare recipes accurately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Prepare meals according to resident diet specifications under the direction of the Dietary Supervisor
• Ensure meals are nutritious, appealing, and served on schedule
• Follow all dietary procedures and sanitary regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment

What You Bring

• At least 1 year of cooking experience for a sizable group (long-term care or institutional setting preferred)
• Ability to accurately quantify and prepare recipes
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A service-focused mindset with a desire to learn
• Positive, can-do attitude and excellent attendance
