Job summary

Serenity Spring Senior Living at Jasper Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Cook with supervision responsibilities in a fast-paced facility. You will prepare meals, ensure sanitation, and supervise support staff to maintain quality service.

The role requires a ServSafe certification, a high school diploma, and prior long-term care cooking experience. You will follow infection control policies and help keep kitchen areas clean and organized on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/ High school or equivalent.
• SERVESAFE Certified.
• Cooking background in long-term care facility and /or Culinary Education.
• Knowledge of food sanitation and batch cooking.
• Long-Term Care Cooking Required: 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as our established policies and procedures
• Ensure that safety regulations and precautions are followed at all times by all personnel
• Follow established Infection Control Precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks
• Assist and direct daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Ensure that the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained
• Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to the Food Service Director immediately
• Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times
