Job summary

Gallaway Health and Rehab is seeking a compassionate Dietary Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a healthcare setting. You will ensure dietary needs are met, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and collaborate with the dietary team on menus and specials.

Responsibilities include safe food preparation, inventory management, and delivering excellent service to residents, patients, and staff. Prior healthcare or food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Prepare and cook meals for residents and patients in accordance with dietary needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards.
• Order and inventory ingredients and supplies, while minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to develop menus and specials, ensuring variety and nutritional value.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, patients and staff in a professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of meal production, inventory, and quality control.
