Job summary

Eastland Sub Acute & Rehabilitation in El Monte, CA is seeking a full-time Dietary Cook to join our team. You will prepare meals for patients, ensuring daily nutritional and dietary needs are met, with both AM and PM shift options.

This role requires a high school diploma, full COVID-19 vaccination including boosters, and an active Safe Serve Food Handler’s Card. You should be able to stand for long periods and work in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dishwashing operation and cleaning tasks.

Dietary Cook Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster shots
• Requires an active and current Safe Serve Food Handler’s Card
• Good physical health to stand for long periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation

Primary Dietary Cook Responsibilities

• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory
• Serve palatable, nourishing, and well-balanced diets
• Assist in cooking and gathering ingredients for meals
• Assists in dishwashing operation and cleaning tasks

PAY SCALE: $19.50

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
