Job summary

Topaz Fiscal Services is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare, season, and cook meals for nursing home residents, staff, and visitors under the supervision of the Dietary Services Manager. This is a full-time role with every other weekend required.

The ideal candidate will have a high school degree, at least 1 year of institutional food service experience, and demonstrate compassion and patience when working with elderly residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school degree.
• Experience: prefer a minimum of 1 years’ experience in institutionalized food service.
• Compassionate and patient when working with elderly residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the food for the residents.
• Assist in cleaning up, kitchen maintenance.
• Other duties include preparing snacks and taking inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
• Cook must learn the protocols and procedures for their facilities, as well as the rules and regulations for the states where they work.
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and responsibility.
• Come to work in clean, neat clothing, and consistently present an appropriate appearance.
