Job summary

Harrison Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare meals for residents, staff, and visitors under the supervision of the Dietary Services Manager. The role is full-time with every other weekend required, focusing on preparing meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and following state regulations and facility protocols to ensure nourishment and safety for residents.

You will learn facility procedures, keep accurate inventory, assist in snacks, and present a neat

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school degree.
• Experience: prefer a minimum of 1 years’ experience in institutionalized food service.
• Compassionate and patient when working with elderly residents and their families.

• Assist in cleaning up, kitchen maintenance
• Other job duties include preparing snacks and taking inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
• Cook must learn the protocols and procedures for their facilities, as well as the rules and regulations for the states where they work.

• Come to work in clean, neat clothing, and consistently present an appropriate appearance.
