The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is seeking a dependable Cook to join our culinary team. You’ll prepare meals from planned menus, ensure dietary needs are met, and work with the team to serve on schedule.

What Does Cooking at the Veterans Home Look Like?

Our cooks prepare daily meals for the Veterans and spouses living in our community. You'll work from planned menus and recipes to prepare meals while also making sure individual dietary needs, textures, portions, and preferences are followed.

You’ll work alongside Culinary Aides and other members of the culinary team to keep meal preparation and service running smoothly—from preparing food and checking temperatures to making sure everything is ready when it’s time to serve.

Unlike a traditional restaurant kitchen, you’re cooking for many of the same people each day. You’ll become familiar with our members, their preferences, and the role a good meal can play in making our facility feel like home.

What You’ll Do
