Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Dietary Clerk to ensure accurate completion of patient diet orders, edit menus per the Nutrition Care Manual, and coordinate with production teams. You will obtain patient selections, assemble trays following safety guidelines, and deliver meals to patients.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year in food service, and strong interpersonal and arithmetic skills. 18+ and nutrition knowledge for modified diets preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of experience in food service preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Good interpersonal/communication skills.
• Able to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Knowledge of basic nutrition principles as related to modified diets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all patients’ diet orders are completed accurately by maintaining up to date order information.
• Edits menus following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Manual.
• Obtains patient menu selections and communicates menu needs to the production team.
• Assembles food trays following food safety guidelines.
• Delivers food trays to patients.
